Atlanta Utility Works

We have come together to blend Cultured South’s Fermentation Company, Pure Abundance, and Golda Kombucha and create one premier place for social gatherings and celebrations. Atlanta Utility Works is excited to share the rich history of this dated structure with the community through public and private events.

Est.1901

Atlanta Utility Works dates back to the early 1900s as one of the premier industrial businesses in East Point, Georgia. The site was a manufacturing plant for farm equipment, fertilizer, and mill machinery, with a small foundry on the grounds. A historic rail spur ran through the entire property, allowing the mill to transport hand-crafted heavy machinery to family farms all over the country.

The abandoned factory has recently been featured in series like Ozark and Stranger Things and continues to be a popular site within the film industry. The site is now being preserved and converted into a brewery, taproom, and events space. In addition to the factory renovations, Atlanta Utility Works has transformed the small foundry into an intimate outdoor events space, Foundry Ruins.

“We've made remarkable strides in the beautification & preservation of this once overgrown and forgotten factory. I'm excited to bring the site back to agriculture and make memories with the community.”
